Young Voices Update (selected children)
Dear Parents/Carers,
We are thrilled to have a new date for the 25th Anniversary Young Voices Concert. We will be attending the concert at Resorts World Arena, Birmingham, on Tuesday 3rd May 2022. All the details for the event remain unchanged and we have included these below as a reminder.
To prepare for this exciting event, we are re-starting our weekly rehearsals. These will be on Tuesday afternoons from 3.15pm-4.15pm, starting on Tuesday 8th March. With only 6 weeks until the concert, it is expected that all children will attend as many sessions as possible. Please also ensure your child is practicing the songs and actions at home, via the YV website or Spotify. This will ensure they get the most out of this amazing experience. If you have an issue with accessing these sites please let us know asap.
All payments and permissions have been rolled over to the new concert date. We will be issued with new tickets for those parents coming to watch the concert; however, due to the change in date there is no guarantee that everyone will be sat together in the auditorium. If you had purchased ticket(s) but, due to the change in date, are no longer able to attend there will be an opportunity to request a refund. If this applies to you, please let us know and we will inform you of the details as soon as they are available. It may be possible to re-allocate unwanted tickets to other parents, so also let us know if you did not buy tickets and would now like to attend.
If you purchased tickets directly from the box office, you will need to contact the box office directly to transfer your ticket(s) to the new date (Tuesday 3rd May 2022).
Concert Arrangements
We plan to leave school around 10.30am and will travel by coach to the Resorts World Arena (NEC), Birmingham, to arrive by 1.30pm. We will be stopping at Strensham Services on the M5 Northbound to have lunch at McDonalds.
The children will take part in a concert rehearsal at 2.15pm at the NEC.
In addition to lunch, all children will need to bring a substantial packed tea (no glass bottles or fizzy drinks please). There will be a break between 5pm and 6pm where the children will eat their tea. Please also provide at least two bottles/beakers of water for your child to drink throughout the afternoon and evening.
The concert starts at 7pm and finishes at 9.15pm.
We envisage we will arrive back at school at 12.00am (midnight).
The children will need to wear black school trousers (dark charcoal will be acceptable) or black full-length leggings (no jogging bottoms please) and a plain white t-shirt (no logos or trims). The school white polo shirt will be fine. They should wear their school jumper/cardigan.
Young Voices t-shirts and mini torches will be distributed to children on the day of the concert.
We are looking forward to a fantastic event that the children will remember and cherish for many years to come.
