Young Voices
Open to Children in Years 4, 5 & 6
For our 12th year, we are attending the Young Voices Choir event at the Resorts World Arena (NEC) in Birmingham on Wednesday 6th January 2027. We are inviting those children in years 4, 5 & 6 who love to sing, to register their interest in joining us at this event. We can take a maximum of 35 children.
This is a great opportunity to sing in a large choir and experience a massive music event. Children do not have to be great singers, but they will need to commit to attending rehearsals and learning the songs and dance moves at home. From experience, we know that children who make this commitment will have the confidence to sing loud and proud and will have a fantastic experience!
Rehearsals will start week commencing 21st September and be held weekly on a Wednesday afternoon from 3.15pm-4.00pm. With only a short time to learn the songs, we will expect children to attend every rehearsal, unless they are absent from school.
Please be aware, although this is a brilliant day and the experience of a lifetime, it is a very loud event and a very long day, so please make sure your child is prepared for this. We leave school at 10.30am and return to school around midnight.
As with all trips there is a cost. The cost for the registration fee and coach travel will be approximately £45 per child but this depends on how many children wish to take part. There is also an option to purchase a Young Voices T-shirt Bundle and tickets to the event at an additional cost. Further details will be provided as soon as possible.
There may be financial support available for children who qualify for Pupil Premium funding to enable them to attend, however parents will need to request this support in writing and it will only be a proportion of the cost. Unfortunately, we cannot offer financial support for optional extras.
For further information about the concerts and what it is like, please visit the Young Voices website www.youngvoices.co.uk, speak to previous attendees or to one of the Young Voices team.
If your child wishes to take part, please complete the following form to register their interest no later than Friday 18th September.
Register Interest Form – YV 2027
Once we have received the registrations of all those interested, we will randomly select names to join the club, giving everyone equal opportunity in gaining a place.
No money is required at this time. A further letter, with full payment details, will follow once we know who wishes to attend.
Kind Regards
The Young Voices Team
