Pupils at Uphill strengthen athletic skills

Year 2 pupils at Uphill Village Academy have been enthusiastically developing their athletic abilities as part of the school’s commitment to promoting health, wellbeing, and teamwork.
During recent PE sessions, pupils have been practising their balancing skills using a range of gym equipment, helping them to improve coordination, confidence, and core strength. These activities not only support physical development but also encourage children to stay healthy and active from an early age.
These sessions have also provided valuable opportunities for teamwork, as pupils support one another in developing new skills and celebrating individual achievements.
A spokesperson said: “We are incredibly proud of how determined and enthusiastic our Year 2 pupils have been.
“Their positive attitude and willingness to try new challenges show real resilience and teamwork, which are core values at Uphill Village Academy.”
