Pupils at Uphill Village Academy learn the ‘Five Ways of Wellbeing’

Year 2 pupils at Uphill Village Academy recently welcomed an educational mental health practitioner for an engaging session on the ‘Five Ways of Wellbeing’.

The visit aimed to teach pupils about the importance of mental health and how simple actions can positively impact themselves and others.

During the session, they explored the power of communication – understanding how it makes us feel, how it affects others, and how small acts of kindness, like checking in with someone or making them smile, can make a big difference.

A spokesperson for the academy said: “We are delighted to provide opportunities for our pupils to learn valuable life skills.

“Sessions like these not only enhance their understanding of mental health but also equip them with tools to develop empathy, kindness, and strong social connections.”
