RNLI visits pupils at Uphill Village Academy
Year 2 pupils at Uphill Village Academy enjoyed a special visit from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) this week, gaining valuable lessons in beach safety.
During the visit, the children learned about the vital role the RNLI plays in keeping people safe at the beach.
Pupils explored the potential dangers of the coastline, such as sinking mud and swimming out too far from the shore.
The highlight of the session was a crucial life-saving message: “If you see a red flag, do not go in the water!”
A school spokesperson said: “The session provided an engaging and informative experience, helping to ensure that the young students are well-prepared for future beach visits and understand the importance of water safety.”
