Uphill pupils dive into science

As part of their latest science unit, Year 5 and Year 6 pupils at Uphill Primary Academy have been exploring the concept of water resistance.
Acting as young scientists, pupils conducted an experiment to test how quickly different shaped objects travelled through water, helping them understand how shape and surface area affect speed and resistance.
A spokesperson said: “Our pupils were incredibly engaged and curious throughout the investigation.
“Experiments like these not only deepen their scientific understanding but also inspire them to think critically, ask questions, and develop a genuine love of learning and science.”
