The training, aimed at enhancing their leadership skills, has equipped pupils to confidently discuss areas of success within the academy and identify opportunities for improvement.

During the sessions, pupils shared thoughtful insights into what is working well at the academy, as well as innovative ideas to make their learning environment even better.

They also proposed strategies to improve the structure and effectiveness of Council Crew meetings, ensuring that their voices are heard, and actionable solutions are implemented.

A spokesperson from the academy said: “Council Crew is an integral part of our school community, developing leadership and collaboration among our pupils.

“The confidence and maturity demonstrated by our Year 6 pupils during their training is truly inspiring.

“They are ready to take on this responsibility and make a real difference in our academy.”
