Uphill Village Academy pupils travel back in time to ancient Egypt

Year 5 and 6 pupils at Uphill Village Academy recently acted as historians to uncover the mysteries of Ancient Egypt.

The hands-on workshop, led by Egyptian Ali, transported pupils back in time, allowing them to explore the fascinating world of Egyptian civilisation through engaging activities and interactive learning.

During the workshop, they explored the rich history of Ancient Egypt, studying its development, social hierarchy, and the famous mummification process.

Through Ali’s vivid storytelling and guided demonstrations, pupils gained a deeper understanding of how these historical practices shaped Egyptian society and the way we study it today.

A spokesperson said: “The immersive experience left pupils inspired and intrigued by Ancient Egypt, sparking curiosity about historical research and the ways we piece together stories from the past.”
