Uphill Village pupils champion biodiversity for Earth Day

As part of Earth Day celebrations, pupils at Uphill Village Academy took centre stage during a special school assembly to share the inspiring work they are doing to enhance biodiversity across the school grounds.

Known as Eco Warriors, these environmentally-minded pupils are leading the charge on a number of green initiatives. From growing plants and planting trees to building bug hotels and putting up bird feeders, the group is committed to making their school a haven for local wildlife.

A school spokesperson said: “Our pupils’ efforts are part of a broader push to encourage environmental responsibility and sustainability within the school community.

“Their dedication and enthusiasm were evident as they spoke confidently to their peers and staff about the impact of their work.

“Their passion and commitment to protecting our environment is truly inspiring.”
