Young Uphill musicians create their own compositions

Pupils at Uphill Primary Academy in Years 2, 3, and 4 have been immersing themselves in the world of music, learning to play a variety of instruments as part of their musical development.

Through these hands-on lessons, the young musicians have been mastering key skills such as following musical notation, listening for the beat, and ‘beating to the rhythm’.

As their confidence grows, they are now beginning to craft their own unique compositions, showcasing their creativity and musical talents.

A spokesperson said: “This engaging and dynamic approach to music education not only enhances their understanding of rhythm and melody but also fosters teamwork, concentration, and self-expression.

“Uphill Primary Academy is proud to support its pupils in developing a lifelong appreciation and joy for music.”
