Thursday Resources-Year One
Complete powerpoint together- use pasta pieces / buttons at home to support subtraction . Aut1.8.1-Subtraction-taking-away-crossing-out Thursday
Use resource sheet 1 below (Christmas Tree) and give each child the sheet and 7 counters to represent 7 baubles. Place counters on tree and ask them to imagine 1 has fallen off. How many are left? Ask them to record two number sentences to match e.g. 7 – 1 = 6 and 6 = 7 – 1Print 6 only – Thursday (Christmas tree)
Then complete activity 2.
